Look mommy! It's a little Easter Bunny!

I kid you not, this is the strangest compliment I've ever gotten. If it, indeed, is a compliment. My sis and me were having our weekly photoshoot at her town square and a family strolled by. Suddenly, a kid pointed at me and squealed "Look mommy! It's a little Easter Bunny!". My sis and me cracked up, obviously, but to this very day I'm still confused as to how the kid came to the conclusion that I am, in fact, The Easter Bunny. I personally don't see the connection but hey, it's a bunny that carries loads of chocolate around, how bad can it be? I can be The Easter Bunny, baby.

We took these pictures just after dying my hair and I think I've almost had all colors of the rainbow by now. I'm thoroughly enjoying being a redhead though, I feel it suits me a little better than purple or pink. It's a little more powerwoman and less cutesy punk (but I still love the cutesy punk look to death). A good little plus is that, turns out, my gentlemanfriend is a sucker for redheads. Aren't we all, though? Now the outfit (YES ERMAHGERD FINALLY) and the new hair!

Fur collar: Zara   Coat: Thrifted   Dress, necklace: H&M   Tights: Veritas   Glasses: sisters'   Boots: the fab shoes  Cardigan: 3 suisses  Hairdye: La Riche Directions Vermillion Red

You know what would look with this outfit? A horizontal eyebrow piercing. *sniffles* Oh Naomi, you scoundrel. One of these weeks, expect a piercing post. I've been thinking of getting a new piercing. I have my heart set on a horizontal eyebrow piercing and I was wondering whether any one of my lovely readers has any experience with this kind of piercing? I kind of did my septum piercing on a whim and it worked out just fine but now that I'm thinking about doing a new one I might as well ask around, right? I loooove the look of them:

It feels like a piece of jewelry on your face more than a piercing... if you know what I'm saying. Am I making ANY sense? I'm not sure how to explain, I really love the placement. It's going to happen, I can feel it. I CAN FEEL IT IN ME BONES.

C-c-c-c-cold but happy

Welp, we finally got some winter wonderland action going over here in Belgium. Thankfully it wasn't too much of an inconvenience except for being an hour late for class one time because the bus decided not to show up. But apart from that it's all good.

With the little chit-chat about the weather out of the way: some happiness! I've got such positive things in my life going on and I'm so incredibly happy. I write articles for a Belgian gaming site (with the possibility of reviewing games and going to press events in the future!), school is going great, I got comments from my photography teacher stating that I have serious potential and that I should definitely try to actually study art AND I just got a little email stating that I will be part of a body positive project here in Belgium. More info on that later, I will now just say that I am SO incredibly happy for getting recognistion for who I am, what I love and what I do. I feel like my life is heading in a great direction and it's the most wonderful feeling in the world. Sometimes I can't believe how much my life has changed in the last year and everytime I realise how much it has changed I can't help but be happy. I'M HAPPY, YO.

Now some beautiful outfitpictures in the snow! Even though I mostly just worry about keeping my ass warm in cold times I still try and put a little creativity in my clothes.

A little HOLLA @ Barry M cosmetics for the amazing eyeshadow. Bright eyeshadow? You know that be mah thing but finding bright, colorful eyeshadow that covers your eyelid nicely isn't the easiest task. A friend from school recommended this brand and I'm in love with it. This green eyeshadow is amazaballs, no? Also, I was in no way, shape or form paid to say this. I really love it and would recommend it to anyone. Take a look at ALL THE PRETTY COLORS of dazzle dust! That's beauty right there. Now Imma go study and enjoy my happiness high. Catch ya later!

Hollywood magic and blogsale

This is what I wore to the blogsale. Antwerp Fashion Night was upon us and my sis and some fellow Belgian bloggers held a sale to make some space in their closets for the next year or so, until the next closetsale. :-D The event was sponsered by Tao energy drinks and Patty Cake cupcakes (loved both, am now seriously craving the Tao drinks) and it was great fun! A week before the sale me and my mom helped my sister with sorting through and tagging all of her clothes (and I got to steal/buy some clothes off of her, of course), which was cool and strange. Suddenly I came across sweaters I used to steal from her when I was thirteen. We found a gray leopard print cardigan we both bought six years or so ago at H&M. I remembered it so distinctly because one of us bought it first and the other one kept stealing it so eventually we just had to buy another one too. I practically lived in that thing back then. But that's food for another post in which I will be feauturing the aforementioned cardigan. I think I can squeeze a post about time passing and personal changes out of that cardi.

Back to the closetsale! Lots of fashionistas came by and bought gorgeous stuff from the bloggers and I got to meet so many cool people! I got lots of comments on my blonde hair and people saying "AHH, you're Annebeth's sister! I've seen SO MANY PICTURES of you on her blog!" and everytime they said that I got a little fuzzy inside, thinking that I'm so grateful for having such an awesome relationship with my big sis. Which will also be another blogpost. Super sweet Sabina gave me some gorgeous clothes too (I have 50 euros with your name on it!), the night was just great and productive, growing-clothingcollection wise. And we sneakily ate the best sushi ever when the sale was going a little slower. It was good.

These pictures my sister took of me are just pure perfection. The way my dress moves in the wind, the way the warm colors of the dress and the wall behind me work together, it's just awesomeness. I call it "hollywood magic". :-D

the awesome bloggers on our floor:

Kim, Sabina, my sis, Krizia, Kim and yours truly.

if you'd like to see more pictures of the event you can check my sister's blogpost. I had a great time!

Catch you 'gators on the flip side, later! :-D

Shine on you crazy diamond

As I told you in my last post, me and my sis went to the Lokerse Feesten past tuesday to see The Beach Boys and The Australian Pink Floyd Show. When I bought the tickets I bought them especially for The Beach Boys, not even being aware of the fact that Aussie Floyd would be there. Little did I know that Aussie Floyd would be the highlight of the evening! The Beach Boys were fun, the first half of the set was kind of boring with all the songs having the exact same rhythm/sound. Of course there were fun parts when they played "Good Vibrations", "Barbara Ann" and some other hits, it was just a bit disappointing that they didn't play more hits. Also, we stood next to a really irritating lady who tried to get her boyfriend excited for the music by singing loudly into his face. I don't think he was very pleased. :-D

After The Beach Boys we were able to go all the way to the front of the stage, strangely a lot of people went away after TBB. Two super sweet, tall Dutch girls asked us if we wanted to stand in front of them because they were aware of the fact that they could look over our heads while we would be looking at their backs. Which would also be good if I rolled that way but I'd rather look at the musicians, being heterosexual. :-D Aussie Floyd opened with "Shine on you crazy diamond" and I got instantly teary eyed. I just love Pink Floyd music so much and they did an absolutely amazing job with preserving the atmosphere and quality of the original music. They even got me to appreciate the music more! If I closed my eyes it was almost like listening to the real deal. With a big laser show and blow up dolls, it was a wonderfully entertaining show. "Wish you were here" got me crying, of course, because it's one of my favorite songs in the history of all music and hearing your favorite songs live is always magical. I cried when Roger Daltrey did "See me, feel me" last year, too. It touched my heart. I'm also still a bit of an emotional wreck these days so I don't need much to get the ol' waterworks running. As one of the many highlights of the show, hearing "Another brick in the wall" live was awesome. Hearing everyone around you yell "HEY! TEACHERS! Leave them kids alone!", pure epicness. As you can read, I was overwhelmed by the greatness of the band. Coverbands will always get a lot of shit because they will never be the real deal but Jebus Rice, I will never be able to see the real deal so I gladly "settle" for the Australian Pink Floyd Show! If they ever come to Belgium again I won't hesitate to go once more and I can recommend them to anyone. It was perfection!

I have extra love for Pink Floyd because my big brothers and sister were always crazy about them too. Listening to their music always makes me think of my family. Most classic rock does, my dad gave every one of us his love for music and for that, I will be eternally grateful. Music is one of the best things in life and I hope that, if I ever have a kid of my own, I will be able to instill that same passion for music. To me, there's almost no feeling as good as standing in a crowd, screaming your lungs out, forgetting everything you were and will be, for that moment just being part of the music.

Now for my outfit:

Make up:
earrings and pants: H&M
cardigan: 3 suisses
band T: punk shop in Canterbury, forgot the name :-D you can probably find it online too!
shoes: converse
belt: thrifted

nailpolishes: all catrice, the first orange color a brandless stripertool I got secondhand.
glitterpolish: essence

Thanks to the momster for taking my outfit pictures! I'll leave you with two pictures of me and my big sis and her badass legging, I had a wonderful time as I always do with her and she's been a great support to me! LOVE YA SIS

P.S.: If you're feeling in the mood to listen to some good music, this is my current favorite!

Tiny shopping spree and a checkered pencil skirt

I bought some new boots and a couple of little thingies at the last couple of days of wintersales! Thought I might share it with you lovelies.

1. The Denim Shirt
Because it can be worn with everything, the color is awesome and I was still looking for some stuff to wear under dresses/sweaters for wintertimes as well as a nice top. Multipurpose fashion = the best fashion.

2. The Cardigan
Because I have worn my other pink cardigan to death (almost) and I needed one to fill in the sad little void.

3. The Fancy Skirt

The colors are a little more pinkish IRL. It's high waisted, I love the colors, the length (just above the knees) and the material (satin-y!).

4. The Sweater Dress

Because the color is amazing, the fit is like a glove (or, more correctly, it fits me like a glove haha :-D) and again, very multipurpose. It's cosy, I can wear it as a top as well as a skirt, what's not to like?

5. The Kickass Boots

Because I only had one pair of winter boots. These are sturdy, hardcore, slightly goth and feminine at the same time. They are love!

and last but not least, 6. a sweater I have already worn so many times since I've bought it.

Just a simple black sweater with some gorgeous details along the shoulderline (? :-D). Simple and elegant!

Now the outfit:

Great skirt and earrings right? SO COLORFUL! Hope you like it and see you next time!
