C-c-c-c-cold but happy

Welp, we finally got some winter wonderland action going over here in Belgium. Thankfully it wasn't too much of an inconvenience except for being an hour late for class one time because the bus decided not to show up. But apart from that it's all good.

With the little chit-chat about the weather out of the way: some happiness! I've got such positive things in my life going on and I'm so incredibly happy. I write articles for a Belgian gaming site (with the possibility of reviewing games and going to press events in the future!), school is going great, I got comments from my photography teacher stating that I have serious potential and that I should definitely try to actually study art AND I just got a little email stating that I will be part of a body positive project here in Belgium. More info on that later, I will now just say that I am SO incredibly happy for getting recognistion for who I am, what I love and what I do. I feel like my life is heading in a great direction and it's the most wonderful feeling in the world. Sometimes I can't believe how much my life has changed in the last year and everytime I realise how much it has changed I can't help but be happy. I'M HAPPY, YO.

Now some beautiful outfitpictures in the snow! Even though I mostly just worry about keeping my ass warm in cold times I still try and put a little creativity in my clothes.

A little HOLLA @ Barry M cosmetics for the amazing eyeshadow. Bright eyeshadow? You know that be mah thing but finding bright, colorful eyeshadow that covers your eyelid nicely isn't the easiest task. A friend from school recommended this brand and I'm in love with it. This green eyeshadow is amazaballs, no? Also, I was in no way, shape or form paid to say this. I really love it and would recommend it to anyone. Take a look at ALL THE PRETTY COLORS of dazzle dust! That's beauty right there. Now Imma go study and enjoy my happiness high. Catch ya later!

Konichiwa, Bitchez!

Here it is. When hair becomes epic, it looks like this:

I feel like I was born to have this hair. It's easy, perfect for my lazy ass, I can put a mohawk up in there!!!!!!

MY DREAM HAS COME TRUE! Every time I look in the mirror I feel like the bad ass chick that's inside me has come out. The color, the cut, the length, it's the most perfect haircut I've ever had. My sister declared that she's "a fan" of mine once she saw my new 'do. Some people looked incredibly shocked in school, declaring "WHAT HAVE YOU DONE?!" and I've heard silly things like "Short hair is for boys" (ugh, this is worth a whole 'nother post because what is deemed "boyish" and "girly" is mainly a social construct) but to keep this post positive I won't start another rant about silly opinions. Plus there were also plenty of people who told me that it looks perfect on me. I will declare my love for me and my hair because I am a kick ass woman with hair to match with my personality. Also, I kind of dig the feeling of those really short hairs in the back of my neck. Just wanted to share the awesomeness with my lovely readers because you are awesome!

Peace out, lovelies! And don't let anybody ever tell you what you should wear or how you should cut your hair. To, once again in a post about hair, quote The Gaga: I'll die living just as free as my hair.

They told me I could be anything...

... so I became a galaxy.

If you haven't already figured this out: I'm crazy about prints. But galaxy print is probably my favorite print in the whole wide world. I know I wore these pants in my last post too but I thought that this outfit was absolute cosmological perfection and one can never wear awesome pants like these enough. I like a good floral or stripey piece as much as the next girl but since I'm a Carl Sagan geek and want one of his philosophical quotes tattooed on me somewhere in the future I have an extra special place in my heart for spacey prints. When I look up at night and see the all those tiny stars in the big black sky I can't help but feel a little calmer. It helps me realise that, even when humanity screws up big time, the universe won't cease to exist because of our petty mistakes. Whatever problems I have, they fall into complete nothingness when I look at the size of the cosmos. It helps me put things in perspective and renew my respect for the life I have. As do Carl Sagan quotes, let me share some of my favorites with you.

"Somewhere, something incredible is waiting to be known."

"For small creatures such as we the vastness is bearable only through love."

"Everyone of us is, in the cosmic perspective, precious. If a human disagrees with you, let him/her live. In a hundred billion galaxies, you will not find another."

"We are like butterflies who flutter for a day and think it is forever."

"We make our world significant by the courage of our questions and the depth of our answers."

I think these two are my absolute favorites:

"I don't know where I'm going, but I'm on my way" (previously featured in this post)

"But I could be wrong."

Getting older, learning and changing is scary in some ways. Okay, in a LOT of ways. But realising that you really don't have the answer to everything and that you're probably wrong about a lot of things all the time is actually a relief to me. I'd rather be wrong a million times and learn something every single time than to be right and never learn at all. Though being wrong all the time wouldn't be the best thing either. YOU GET MY POINT.

Pants: H&M
Shirt: 3 suisses
Boots: Torfs
Cardigan: JBC
Hat: Gift from awesome friend
Necklace: Momster's

If these pictures look EXTRA nifty, by the way, it's because they are. I made them with my new lens, 50mm 1.4, a lovely birthday present from myself. I love it with all my heart. The adorable sequined hat was a gift from a friend, I have the nicest friends <3. They give presents like bosses. Just one more day of school for me and then I have my 2 week break of holidays! I'm looking forward to christmas, sleeping in (FINALLY) and finding time to waste some time again. DRAWING. READING. VIDEOGAMES. Aaaah, holidays, you  came just in time.

Hope you lovelies have a good weekend and if I don't talk to you before christmas: Merry christmassssss! Oh and happy end of the world day for the 21st of december!

Another color, another piercing

As promised, my friends, I bring you SPLENDID PINK HAIR:

Yes, if pink hair won't make you smile I don't know what will! I missed my bright hair. As soon as I washed the dye out and looked in the mirror I thought "OH LOVER, where have you been all my life?!" and continued to look in the mirror for a minute or two. Okay no, more like ten minutes while smiling like a maniac. Everytime I see the pink hair I get a shot of instant happiness. Oh bright hair, nothing will ever make me feel quite as much as myself as you. I swear I was born to have pink hair. The comments I get on my hair are always positive too, not including the sour old ladies who ask "Does your mother approve of this?". I smile widely and tell them that my mother is the badass who dyed my hair. Put that in your pipe and smoke it! My mom is the bestest. The bright hair doesn't shock her anymore but my new piercing did do the trick;

I was shopping with a friend today (who baked brownies for my birthday this upcoming sunday, the sweetiepie, knowing that I swoon for anything chocolatey <3) and I have been lusting after a new piercing for a while. She's no stranger to piercings either so this was the perfect moment to go for it and be spontaneous. A friend from school recommended this tattoo/piercing shop and the friend I was out shopping with told me that she also had great experiences with that same shop so before I knew it I was sitting on the little stool thingie with a needle through my septum.

Credits to the sis who planted the idea of a septum piercing in my head, since she mentioned it I haven't been able to get it out of my head. A moment of spontaneity was all I needed and I'm SO happy. My mom was a little shocked but since she's also awesome she told me that, whatever kinds of needles I put through my nose, I'll always be the most beautiful girl in the world. That's a good momster for ya right there. I feel like such a badass with my piercing and my pink hair, haha. The piercinglady told me, before the piercing, that people told her that this particular piercing was possible a) one of the most painful piercings possible or b) barely noticable on the pain scale. Of course I kind of freaked out a little because ARGH, PAINZ. But I turned out to be one of the people who though it was barely noticable. My eyes didn't even water. Again, feeling like such a badass. I really love the way it looks and I'm so happy I did it!

How about you? Piercings? Loving them or regretting them? And what about the painnnnnn? I freaking love piercings. I want more. :-D

Dress classy, dance cheesy, my friends. Have a wonderful weekend!

Make over

I'm sorry I haven't made blogpost in a while (again!) but I've just been dealing with me and my emotions and it's hella tiring. I haven't been able to concentrate or go to school and I have moments when I just feel like I could fall through the earth because of some big ass brick I feel in my stomach. Some days are better than others but the feeling never goes away. I'm hoping it will. If it was only a little bit of a sad feeling that you could get rid of by crying and getting a hug from your boyfriend. But it's not. This is a different kind of sadness, something I've never felt before. On the really bad moments it's almost immobilizing. And I worry. I worry about not being able to do my exams in June because I can't concentrate for the life of me. I worry that I'll keep feeling this feeling for ever. I worry that my boyfriend will dump/cheat on me because I have massive fear of abandonement issues right now. Most of the time I just feel one of those worries but when they all come together it SUCKS BALLS. Luckily I think my boyfriend loves me so that's one thing. But the rest is still scary. Now I will awkwardly change this depressing post into a hair post. Life is awkward sometimes. I can't give my poor readers depressing posts and no eyecandy!

After having my awesome and eternally flattering bob-haircut for two years in a row (which is a long time for me, I've been switching haircuts and lengths a lot since I turned twelve or something) I started lusting after short hair again. I'm always lusting after short hair. There's something about it, if it's the right short cut that frames a face the right way... I find it incredibly attractive. Haircuts like these always make me want to chop my hair immediately:

I want to marry the Michelle Williams picture. How adorable is she?! Anyhoo, I don't keep lusting very long. I'm a do-er! So peoples, here is my new 'do!

I'm so happy with it, I found an awesome new hairdresser thanks to my sister and he did an amazing job. It's exactly what I asked for and I feel awesome with it. And I still have enough hair to play around with my signature bright hairdyes! How do you feel about short hair? Padapapapa, are you lovin' it? :-D Also, check out my awesome eye make-up!:
My 100 shadow palette is one of the best things ever. And a little tip for girls who want to chop their hair but are afraid of what their boys are going to say: they'll nag before you go to the hairdresser but when you come back they'll just love the fact that they can see your face even better. :-D

Okay I won't keep you waiting any longer. HOW DO YOU LIKE THEM APPLES?

GAH so happy! Colors used: Violet, Neon Blue and Flamingo Pink, all from Directions, bought at Beeunique! My friend did my hair, he always does such a wonderful job, he puts in so much effort to make my hair look awesome and that's just one of the many reasons why I want to marry him! He always said he wasn't much of an artist but he always does a great job at dying my hair. Who needs a hairdresser when you have an awesome partner? I wish he would let me dye his hair. :-( I'd give him yellow and green hair and it'd look awesome. PLEASE? And a mohawk! :-D This has to come on my bucket list. 'Dye his hair. Mohawk Optional.' Ah well, I might get a mohawk myself, one day. I can't believe how gorgeous my hair is. I love love love 'neon blue', gosh what a beautiful color. I've had a different purple, 'plum', before, and I like this one so much better. It's so much more vibrant and colorful, and the pink! The pink is just perfection. You can probably tell I'm really happy. Every time I look in the mirror I go *GASP* ! Have a lovely day, babes, and let's spread the color!
