Genie in a bottle pants, Weird Al and start of school

Yes, those pants haven't been gone long, but now that the weather is still appropriate I'm wearing them like crazy. They're so comfy and awesome it's not even funny. Also, if I think of "Genie in a bottle" I can't help but think about the Weird Al Yankovic cover "Weenie in a bottle". The chorus cleverly goes "I stuck my weenie in a bottle and now I can't get it out". I'm not SUPER crazy about Weird Al but some of his stuff is pretty awesome, especially "White & Nerdy" since Weird Al wears a "Carl Sagan is my homeboy" shirt in it (which I need) and the Seth Green cameo (super adorkable redhead), but "Pretty fly for a rabbi" and "Amish paradise" are pretty fun too. Though they don't have the lyrics "Ain't got no grills but I still wear braces". Genius.

ANYHOO, these pants are fantabulous and the earrings are new, I bought them as a souvenir at the Efteling and they're gorgeous. And they jingle. I can't resist a jingling earring. I'm tired and a little slow from all the new school stuff but it's all good, I'm excited about interesting classes and learning new things! The beginning is always a little awkward and tiring with not knowing where to find your new classes and being late. SO AWKWARD when you come in late, everyone is sitting down and the teacher is explaining something while you just barge in like "OHAI I'M IN THIS CLASS TOO" and the teacher gives you this look that says "I'm totally trying to make you feel like a bad person" while I just want to say "DOOD it's not my fault my bus was late!". He didn't seem to mind all that much but I'd rather not do it again. He was also just explaining, when I barged in, that he didn't appreciate latecomers. My timing of being late seemed to be perfect. And there's a really strange girl in my class that, while we were debating politics, said that democracy should be overthrown in Belgium to become a dictatorship.

I'm not sitting next to her.

Hope that, if your schoolyear just started, you're having a great start and that if you're working, being unemployed or just jacking off all day long, that that's working for you too! :-D

Shine on you crazy diamond

As I told you in my last post, me and my sis went to the Lokerse Feesten past tuesday to see The Beach Boys and The Australian Pink Floyd Show. When I bought the tickets I bought them especially for The Beach Boys, not even being aware of the fact that Aussie Floyd would be there. Little did I know that Aussie Floyd would be the highlight of the evening! The Beach Boys were fun, the first half of the set was kind of boring with all the songs having the exact same rhythm/sound. Of course there were fun parts when they played "Good Vibrations", "Barbara Ann" and some other hits, it was just a bit disappointing that they didn't play more hits. Also, we stood next to a really irritating lady who tried to get her boyfriend excited for the music by singing loudly into his face. I don't think he was very pleased. :-D

After The Beach Boys we were able to go all the way to the front of the stage, strangely a lot of people went away after TBB. Two super sweet, tall Dutch girls asked us if we wanted to stand in front of them because they were aware of the fact that they could look over our heads while we would be looking at their backs. Which would also be good if I rolled that way but I'd rather look at the musicians, being heterosexual. :-D Aussie Floyd opened with "Shine on you crazy diamond" and I got instantly teary eyed. I just love Pink Floyd music so much and they did an absolutely amazing job with preserving the atmosphere and quality of the original music. They even got me to appreciate the music more! If I closed my eyes it was almost like listening to the real deal. With a big laser show and blow up dolls, it was a wonderfully entertaining show. "Wish you were here" got me crying, of course, because it's one of my favorite songs in the history of all music and hearing your favorite songs live is always magical. I cried when Roger Daltrey did "See me, feel me" last year, too. It touched my heart. I'm also still a bit of an emotional wreck these days so I don't need much to get the ol' waterworks running. As one of the many highlights of the show, hearing "Another brick in the wall" live was awesome. Hearing everyone around you yell "HEY! TEACHERS! Leave them kids alone!", pure epicness. As you can read, I was overwhelmed by the greatness of the band. Coverbands will always get a lot of shit because they will never be the real deal but Jebus Rice, I will never be able to see the real deal so I gladly "settle" for the Australian Pink Floyd Show! If they ever come to Belgium again I won't hesitate to go once more and I can recommend them to anyone. It was perfection!

I have extra love for Pink Floyd because my big brothers and sister were always crazy about them too. Listening to their music always makes me think of my family. Most classic rock does, my dad gave every one of us his love for music and for that, I will be eternally grateful. Music is one of the best things in life and I hope that, if I ever have a kid of my own, I will be able to instill that same passion for music. To me, there's almost no feeling as good as standing in a crowd, screaming your lungs out, forgetting everything you were and will be, for that moment just being part of the music.

Funky geek

I'll do another super EMO post soon but for now I'm just gonna give you an outfit I was very pleased with myself. The legging was a great H&M buy, as was the pants in my last post by the way, and one of the things I bought in the sales in july. I bought this legging, an ombre green leopardprint skinnyjeans, the paisley printed harem pants from last post, bright pink capri's, a super sexy black and white dress that I will be saving for a first date and spikey earrings. All H&M! And I have muchos troubles with finding nicely fitting pants. All the pants I bought (two of them being jeans!) fit like gloves. Super lucky and sexy! I love wearing pants nowadays. I've had a year or a year and a half of wearing just dresses and midiskirts but now I really feel like pants. LIKE WEARING THE PANTS IN MY LIFE, YO. Also, I like looking at my ass in pants. I really do. To quote my big sis, when I look at my ass in tight pants I always feel like going KEPOW!:

I seriously don't care what people say about wearing leggings as pants. I have an ass, I know it and I ain't afraid to show it! As long as there's no cameltoe involved, I'm good. I'm also just really a sucker for legwear with prints.
Orange lipstick! I love it.

leggings: H&M
shirt: hottopic
boots: H&M
earrings: fleamarket
shrug: 3suisses

So many "fashion faux pas" in one post, it's disgusting. The leggings as pants, non slimming legwear, a shirt with a high neckline for someone with big boobs, blue eyeshadow and orange lipstick. And of course, not being a twelve year old boy while wearing a Legend of Zelda T. LUCKY WE DON'T CARE, right my peeps? :-D

HAPPY BIRTHDAY & ode to awesome boyfriend

TO ME! :-D Here I am with my birthday post! I'll show you my presents, cake and outfit! Get ready!

On exactly the first minute of my birthday I got my first present from my boyfriend. A little box black box. Of course the first thing you think when you see a box like that is 'ZOMG it's a ring!' and I was hoping for a little jewellery from my guy! This was the box:

Pretty cute, right? My boyfriend usually sucks at wrapping gifts but he did his best and it looked so adorable! Inside, there was a gorgeous ring and a little note saying 'To the happiness in my life, happy birthday. I love you'. *melts*
Gorgeous, right? I love this kind of jewellery, colorful and feminine but not too girly and petite. When I wear tiny rings it kind of looks like my finger is eating the ring. I have a bit of chubs on my fingers. :-D

I love this ring and it shows that my boyfriend really knows what I like! Perfection! We always kind of use birthdays/anniversaries as little tests to show how well we know each other. Books, movies, jewellery, we know how to make each other happy! I also got these amazing earrings:

Again, LOVE! He knows what I love down to a T.

These are all the presents I got from my man, including the ring, earrings, 'The West Wing' box set (one of my favorite tv shows of all time! C.J. Cregg is my homegirl!), a beautiful shade of lipstick (bright peachy!) and a subscription to my favorite photography magazine for a whole year!!! I'm so incredibly happy with all the presents and I'll be enjoying all of them for a long time! I got some presents from my mom too, who never knows what to buy. :-D:

I was out of bodylotion and face cream so that came in handy, the plaid thingie underneath the bottle are pyjamas and a claire's giftcard. I saw a couple of things in claire's that I wanted so I told my mom to go to there if she didn't know what to buy me. She went to claire's but still didn't know what to buy so she gave me a gift card. Which was the sensible thing to do really, at least now I know I got some stuff I actually like. I just went to claire's yesterday and bought 4 pairs of earrings and a red glittery headband. Gorgeous stuff! She also let me pick out some hairdyes and paid for the dyes so that was pretty cool too! I now have toner, bright yellow, bright pink, violet and neon blue to try out! Looking forward to it! OH and every birthday I get the most gorgeous bouquet of flowers from my loverboy, for romance and photography! :-D I took some lovely pictures if I can say so myself and I will be posting those pictures on my photography blog so keep your eye out!

NOW IT'S TIME FOR EPIC CHOCOLATE CAKE!

CAKE COME BACK! I love you so! Sniffles! That was the best cake ever. All made with love by me and my love! :-D Now the outfit and me featuring my new ring, earrings and lipstick!

Great lipstick! How awesome is my boyfriend? Oh and here's a picture of my doggie, running/flying;

Superdog! My day was simple, I had good food, lots of cake and tea, lovely conversations with my boyfriend and brother over skype, we made pizza and drank kiddie champagne because I hate the taste of alcohol. The only upside of turning eighteen over here is being able to drink liquor and I freaking hate drinking anything with alcohol so THANKS LAW, why not give something cool to newly turned 18 year olds instead of giving them a license to get drunk? PFOO. I don't care though because I already had the best presents ever! As I already mentioned I also got bright green knockoff doc martens from my sister, a photography book from my youngest brother and I'm hoping to receive a Legend of Zelda shirt from my oldest brother in two weeks or so! So excited for that! Thank you everybody for giving awesome presents, wishing me a happy birthday and being awesome! The day after my birthday was great too, by the way. We made sushi, watched a very short lunar eclipse and I made pictures of the lunar eclipse, sunset and flowers I got from my man. It was lovely and I can't believe I have such a wonderful man in my life.
